TSUMIMI TIME Troubleshooting: Fixes in the Order You Should Try Them

Five symptom pages for Red Chat Ritual TSUMIMI TIME: gifts that do nothing, files you cannot select, keywords that never register, a demo save that vanished, and Day 7 that will not advance.

This page exists because the walkthrough is the wrong tool when something has already gone wrong. Nobody who has just sent a gift and watched nothing happen wants to read Day 1 again. They want the five things that could have caused it, ordered by how likely each one is, with a way to check each in ten seconds.

So this is an index of symptoms rather than chapters. If your problem is on the list, open the page and work down its table. If it is not, the last section explains what to do instead of guessing.

The five symptoms we can actually fix

What you seeWhat is usually happeningPage
You sent a gift, the money is gone, nothing happenedIt arrived after the stream, not beforeGift not working
The file exists in the archive but the blank will not accept itThe keyword was investigated but the reply thread was never readFile won't appear
A keyword you saw on stream never became a fileIt was read, not searched — or it was never a keywordKeyword not registering
Your demo progress is gone after buying the full gameThe demo is a separate app; saves were never sharedDemo save missing
Day 7 will not end, or the floor check never appearsThe Day 6 stun gun deadline was missedStuck on Day 7

Five symptoms cover the overwhelming majority of "the game is broken" reports from the first two days after release. All five turned out to be systems working as designed, which is exactly why they are worth writing down.

How we label facts:ConfirmedObservedUnverifiedUnknown

Source note: Each fix below was reproduced on Version 1.0.1 unless the row says otherwise. Where we are reporting a community claim we could not reproduce, the row is marked Unverified and described as a report rather than a mechanic. Version 1.0.1 landed on 23 October 2026; if your build predates it, the money-related causes behave slightly differently.

How to check things without wasting a run

The order matters. Checking in the wrong order burns in-game days, and in a 15-day loop a wasted day is often the actual failure.

  1. Check the clock first. Almost half of the reports we looked at were timing, not bugs. If it involves a gift, a stream, or a deadline, the answer is usually "which day, and before or after the stream".
  2. Check the archive second. Whether a file exists is a fact the game will show you. Whether it is the right file is a judgement you make afterwards.
  3. Check the version third. 1.0.1 changed starting funds and added Ctrl fast-forward. A guide written on launch day describes a game that no longer exists.
  4. Check the save last. If the first three are clean and the symptom persists, it is either a genuine defect or a corrupted save, and reloading earlier is cheaper than continuing.

The walkthrough is the reference for step one — it lists which day each deadline falls on — and the gift calculator does the arithmetic so you do not have to count days by hand.

Does your build even have the fix?

Before any fix below, confirm which version you are on. The Steam build ID is in the game's properties panel, and 1.0.1 shipped on 23 October 2026 — roughly a day after launch. Several "bugs" people still report are launch-build behaviour that no longer exists.

What changed1.0.0 launch build1.0.1 (current)
Starting fundsLower — the first gift that matters is often unaffordableRaised enough to cover the first useful gift
Search loop speedSlow enough that players assumed it had frozenCtrl fast-forward added
English textUneven, some instructions misleadingPartly improved, not fully resolved
Gift delivery windowSame rule, but tighter against the smaller budgetSame rule, easier to satisfy
Day 7 floor checkSame preconditionSame precondition

If your symptom is "searching takes forever", you are almost certainly on 1.0.0 and the fix is updating, not troubleshooting. If your symptom is money-related and you started the run on 1.0.0, the cause may be a budget that the current version no longer hands you — which means the fix is a new run, not a different gift.

The ten-second checks, in one table

Every fix on this site reduces to one of five checks. Run the one that matches your symptom before opening a page; half the time it resolves there.

SymptomThe single checkWhere it isIf it fails
Gift did nothingDid it arrive before the stream started, not after it ended?Gift log, timestamp against the stream startThe money is spent; see the gift page
Blank will not accept the fileWas the keyword actually searched, or only read in a thread?Investigation log for that keywordThe thread is unread; see the file page
Keyword never became a fileIs it a keyword at all, or just dialogue? The investigation list, not the transcriptIt was never investigable; see the keyword page
Demo progress goneAre you launching the full game, not the demo app?Steam library, two separate entriesSaves were never shared; see the demo save page
Day 7 will not endWas the stun gun delivered before the Day 6 stream?Gift log for Day 6The deadline has passed; see the Day 7 page

Notice that four of the five checks are looking at a log rather than at the game world. That is not a coincidence — this game records its own state more reliably than it communicates it, so the log is the ground truth and the scene is the interpretation.

What to do when your symptom is not listed

Four possibilities, in the order worth trying.

It is a known issue with an open question. The open questions page lists what we could not confirm, including how confident we are and what we tried. If your symptom is there, you are not alone and we have not solved it either.

It is a language-layer artefact. Some in-game documents are not fully translated, and a mistranslated instruction can read as a broken mechanic. The demo English page covers what is and is not translated.

It is a crash or a typo rather than a mechanic. Those belong on the Steam Discussions board for AppID 4413070, which is where the complaints that 1.0.1 fixed were originally raised. The community section explains why that board and not a fan server.

It is the loop working as intended and reading as unfair. The gameplay page is the honest explanation of why money is the real difficulty, and it is the page to read before concluding the design is broken.

A note on what "broken" usually means here

The single most useful thing we learned writing these five pages: in this game, a silent failure is almost always a timing failure. Gifts do not error when they arrive late, files do not announce that a thread is unread, and Day 7 does not tell you it is waiting on a decision you can no longer make.

That design choice makes the game feel buggy exactly when it is being strictest. If your instinct is "this is a defect", check the day and the delivery first — the odds are heavily in favour of the system having done precisely what it was built to do.

Does the game have known bugs I should expect?

The launch complaints were a slow search loop and uneven English text. The first was addressed by the Ctrl fast-forward in 1.0.1; the second was not fully resolved. Neither prevents finishing a run.

Should I restart my save when something goes wrong?

Only if the failure is unrecoverable — a missed gift deadline, or a blank with no matching file in the archive. For everything else, the run is still winnable and restarting costs you the days you already spent.

Are these fixes the same in the demo?

Mostly. The demo shares the interface and the investigation loop, so the file and keyword symptoms behave identically. Money-related causes differ because the demo predates the 1.0.1 starting-funds increase.
