Everything about buying this game fits in one paragraph: it is a single-purchase Windows game at $17.99 list, currently discounted 20% to $14.39 in the US and ¥1,584 in Japan, with no in-game currency, no season pass, and no codes to redeem. The demo is free and separate. The rest of this page is about the parts people get wrong — which edition includes what, whether the demo progress carries over, and why "is it free" has a two-part answer.

Source note: Prices and the discount percentage below are read from Steam's store API for AppID 4413070 on 24 October 2026 and stored in this repository. A discount that started after that reading will not appear here until the next sample. Platform and system requirements are quoted from the store listing.

Which page answers your question

Five pages, one per question people actually arrive with. The order below is the order the questions get asked, not the order the pages were written in.

If you are askingPageThe short answer
When does it come out, and is it out yetRelease date22 October 2026, out now
What does it costPrice$17.99 list, $14.39 at the current 20% discount
Is there a free versionFreeA free demo, separate app, no carry-over
Is the Steam page the real oneSteam pageYes, AppID 4413070, no impostor listing
What is the Global EditionGlobal editionSame build, different storefront handling

The last row is the one that generates the most confusion, because "global edition" sounds like a content difference and is not one.

Price and versions, sortable

Two store entries exist: the game itself, and a bundle that pairs it with MiSide. There is no deluxe edition, no soundtrack DLC and no cosmetic pack, so "which version should I buy" collapses to "do you want MiSide too".

TSUMIMI TIME editions and prices observed 24 October 2026
Base game (Steam)$17.99$14.3920%The full 15-day game, all nine endings
Base game (Japan)¥1,980¥1,58420%Same build, JPY pricing

Demo$0.00$0.00—Standalone build, AppID 4793590, progress does not transfer
Soundtrack———Not sold separately; music ships inside the game
Deluxe / ultimate———Does not exist

The last two rows are there on purpose. A lot of buying-intent traffic on new releases is people looking for an edition that does not exist, and answering "there isn't one" is more useful than staying silent.

Is the game free?

No, and also partly yes. That sounds evasive, so here is the split.

  • The full game is paid. $17.99 list, $14.39 at the time of writing. There is no free-to-play mode, no ad-supported build and no trial chapter inside the paid app.
  • The demo is free and separate. It is its own Steam app, released 7 June 2026, and it is not a time-limited slice — it is a standalone build. Saves do not carry into the full release; see demo save missing.
  • There are no codes. This is a buy-to-play single-player game. It has no redeem-code system, so any page offering "TSUMIMI TIME codes" is either guessing or generating traffic from a mechanic that does not exist.

The price page breaks the discount down by region and the free page covers what "free" does and does not include.

The 1.0.1 patch changed the economy, which matters more than it sounds: every money-related guide published on launch day is now slightly pessimistic. If a page tells you the early game is brutal, check whether it was written before 23 October. Our own pages were re-verified after the patch.

What you actually get for the money

One 15-day playthrough is short. Nine endings are the reason the price holds up — the branch structure means a second run is a different set of scenes rather than the same text with a different closing card. If you are weighing it up against a shorter visual novel, the honest comparison is "how many hours until you have seen four endings", not "how many hours is one run".

Player typeValue verdict
Wants one story, one endingFair, if you accept a 15-day loop as the length
Wants to collect endingsGood — nine branches across multiple runs
Wants gameplay systemsWeak — the search loop is light by design
Wants to write it off after one runRent-adjacent pricing would be more honest; there is no rental

The gameplay page explains what the loop actually consists of, which is the missing half of any value judgement.

Platform and requirements

Windows only. There is no macOS build, no Linux build and no console release we could verify, so a Steam Deck install is running the Windows build.

ComponentMinimumRecommended
OSWindows 10 64-bitWindows 10 or 11, 64-bit

Memory4 GB RAM8 GB RAM
GraphicsIntel UHD 620 / GTX 750 Ti / R7 260XDirectX 11 compatible GPU
Storage4 GB available4 GB available

The requirement list is modest because the game is mostly 2D art and text. Anything that can run a modern browser will run this.

The questions buyers ask next

Price is rarely the only thing someone wants to know before spending money on a fifteen-day game. These are the four that come up most, with the page that answers each.

QuestionWhere it is answered
Will my machine run it?Requirements table above; the demo hub is the cheapest test
How long until I have seen enough?Gameplay explains the loop length honestly
Is there enough after one run?Endings hub — nine branches, and how many runs that implies
What do negative reviews actually complain about?Community section

One question has no page because it has no answer: whether the price will drop further. We do not forecast discounts. What we can do is keep a dated record of the price we observed, which lives on the player count page alongside the sampling details — so if you come back in a week, you can see whether anything actually moved rather than trusting a memory.

How the money side connects to the guide

An oddity of this game is that its in-game economy and its real price get confused in coverage. They are unrelated. The $14.39 you pay has nothing to do with the starting funds your character receives, and the 1.0.1 patch that raised the latter did not touch the former.

That distinction matters because it explains a specific kind of bad advice. A launch-day guide saying "the early game is brutally tight on money" was accurate before 23 October and is now overstated. The walkthrough was re-checked after the patch; anything you read elsewhere may not have been. If a page does not carry a date, assume it predates the fix.

The same logic applies to gifts: the deadline that ends a run has nothing to do with how much the game cost you. The gift calculator handles the only arithmetic that actually ends runs, and the troubleshooting index covers what to do when a delivery silently fails. For the story side of the purchase decision, the story section and the character pages are the spoiler-light entry points.

Quick index

The pages below cover everything a buyer tends to check after the price.

Where to buy, and what to avoid

Buy it on Steam. There is one storefront, one price, and no regional keys to hunt. We do not link to key resellers: for a game this cheap, the risk of a revoked key costs more than the few dollars saved.

Before you buy, two pages are worth two minutes. The Steam page notes cover the store-side details a buyer should check, including language support. The global edition page explains what differs between the Japanese and international releases, which is the one question the store page does not answer clearly.

If you want to know whether people are still playing before you spend, the live player count shows today's number with its sample window, and the availability page records whether the game is still purchasable, with dates.

How much does Red Chat Ritual TSUMIMI TIME cost?

$17.99 list in the US, discounted to $14.39 (20% off) at the time of our last reading on 24 October 2026. Japan is ¥1,980 list, ¥1,584 discounted.

Is there a free version?

Only the demo, which is a separate free Steam app released 7 June 2026. It is a standalone build rather than a slice of the main game, and its progress does not carry over.

Does the game have microtransactions?

No. There is no in-game currency you can buy, no cosmetic store and no DLC beyond the optional bundle with MiSide.

Is the bundle worth it?

Only if you also want MiSide. The bundle prices both games below their combined list price, but if you are buying this game alone the bundle adds cost rather than saving it.

Will the price drop further?

We do not predict discounts. What we can tell you is the current price and the date we observed it — both are on this page, and the player count page keeps a price history we sample hourly.
