How this number is produced

  • Source: api.steampowered.com/ISteamUserStats/GetNumberOfCurrentPlayers, AppID 4413070. No third party sits between Steam and this page.
  • Cadence: one request every 15 minutes. Each response is appended to data/players.jsonl in this repository as a single JSON line — we never rewrite old rows.
  • Failures are recorded too, as {ok:false, value:null}. That is the only way a page can tell a genuine zero apart from a timeout, and it is why a stale figure is labelled instead of silently replaced.
  • Peak, low and the trend slope are computed at request time from that file, so they cannot drift away from the raw data.

What the number does and does not tell you

This game is single-player and offline. There are no servers to be busy, no queues, and no matchmaking. A player count here is a rough proxy for how many people opened the game in the last few minutes — nothing more. A low number does not mean the game is dead or unreachable, and a spike usually means a streamer or a sale, not a content update.

Limits we will not paper over

  • Our series starts on 24 October 2026, two days after launch. Peak and low cover that window only — they are not an all-time record, and we will not label them as one.
  • Steam's API returns a single integer per request with no regional breakdown, so we cannot tell you where players are.
  • If the endpoint is down for a whole day, the chart stays flat by absence, not by zero. The failure rows make that visible.

FAQ

How many people are playing Red Chat Ritual TSUMIMI TIME right now?
The figure at the top of this page is the live answer, refreshed from Steam's public API every 15 minutes. We show the raw integer rather than a rounded or averaged number.
Does a low player count mean the game is dead?
No. This is a single-player game with no online services, so the count only reflects how many people have the game open. It is normal for a narrative adventure to sit in the dozens between updates.
Why does the page sometimes show an older reading?
Because a later sample failed. When that happens we keep displaying the last successful reading and label it, instead of printing zero. This is deliberate — a fabricated zero is worse than a stale number.
Where does the raw data live?
In data/players.jsonl inside the public repository, one JSON object per line with timestamp, value and status. You can download it and recompute every figure on this page.
Is the price on this page live?
It is sampled hourly from the Steam store API and shown with the time we observed it. A discount that started after our last sample will not appear until the next one.
